Atiku had approached the presidential election tribunal to nullify the February 25 election, in which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu of the winner. Not satisfied with the verdict, the former Vice President filed an appeal before the Supreme Court. In a notice on Thursday, Supreme Court Registrar, Zainab Garba, announced that Atiku’s appeal had been listed for hearing on Monday. “Take notice that the above appeal/motion will be listed for hearing before the Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting at Abuja on Monday, October 23, 2023. He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.
